Scope of this Standard

Specifies requirements for automotive engine oils that are imported, produced, marketed and distributed in Trinidad and Tobago, intended for use in motor vehicles. Requirements include the main performance characteristics specified through engine test and laboratory test results; packaging; and labelling and marking. It is not applicable to engine oils formulated for use in motorcycles or off-highway farm, industrial and construction equipment. (Note: It should be recognised that not all aspects of engine oil performance are evaluated by the engine test in this specification.)
